How it works

Three small steps,
and you've already begun.

Setting up You Care Reminders is intentionally unhurried. We've designed every screen to be calm, clear, and respectful of your time.

Step One

Tell us about the person you care for

Their name, age, and how much they get around. Whether they prefer email or text. Anything else you'd like us to know — a nickname, a favourite phrase, something to avoid mentioning. It takes about a minute.

Step Two

Set the reminders that matter

A gentle morning nudge at eight. A glass of water at three. A quiet check-in before bed. Choose the times and the days. Set the title, the tone, and the notes that shape the wording, then preview what will be sent before the first reminder goes out.

Step Three

See, at a glance, that they're alright

Each message includes a small confirmation button. When they tap it, your dashboard updates. When they don't, you'll see that too — and can reach out, or quietly ignore it, as you choose.

Latest message

"Good morning Marian — a small glass of water when you have a moment. Hope today feels gentle."

"I used to call mum three times a day, just to be sure. Now I call her once — and the call is about her, not her checklist."

— Priya, working from home

What's included

Designed to be quietly useful — never in the way.

Warm wording, never robotic

Each reminder is written fresh using their name, their preferences, the time of day, and a different angle each time — so it reads like a kind nudge from someone who knows them, not a cold automated alert.

Three ways to reach them

Phone notifications, text messages or emails — choose whichever suits the person best. Text and email need nothing installed; phone notifications use a small home-screen icon, set up once in three minutes.

Multiple times, sensible defaults

Choose any number of times per day, on any combination of weekdays. Pause without losing your setup. Adjust whenever life changes.

A quiet record, when you need it

Every reminder sent, every confirmation received — kept neatly for you to look back on. Useful when other family members ask, or when you want to spot a pattern.

Sensible fallbacks, never silent

If a phone notification can't be delivered, we fall back to email so a reminder still arrives. If a text message fails, the same happens. You'll always know what happened.

More than one person to care for

Add the people you care for — one on Free and Essentials, up to five on Family · Care, or unlimited on Care Home plans. Each has their own profile, their own reminders, their own history. One quiet dashboard for the whole family.

Try it with the person you're already thinking about.

Free to start, free to step away. We'll only ask for what we need to send a reminder.
